Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

This Martin Luther King, Jr. day, do something more than just sleep in or go shopping:

UPDATE: I came across this great picture earlier and wanted to share it here. The man on the far left is His Eminence Archbishop Iakovos, retired Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. It is the March 26, 1965 issue of LIFE Magazine and the picture is of a Civil Rights march in Selma, Alabama. It is wonderful to be a member of a Church whose leaders were involved in such great things. Orthodox Christians were also involved in the uprising against colonialism in Africa, such as the Mau Mau rebellion. I will try to find more information about all of this to post here later.
